So I'm trying to sell my Silverado and everything is good accept for one thing. My ABS is acting up. It all started nearly 3 months ago with: slow speed(10mph-30mph) braking ABS activation, ABS light comes on with parking brake light, then the PB light goes off and the ABS light stays on for up to an hour or so. Sometimes it would even clutch in and pop the clutch sparatically making the truck lunge and sputter. Did some research, ended up taking her in to have the wheel speed sensors all checked out. They are all fine. Problem still exists. Did some more research found out its my ABS module! 1.5 weeks to send it up the Idaho and have it completely refurbished. It gets back and I put it in. Seems to have been the problem!........Nope. Got the light along with ABS activation this morning. I'm lost, fed the f**k up, and angry, please help me! Isnt there another sensor or 2 on the transfer case??

 

I thought the VSS palyed part in the ABS. Not too sure.

 

Yes the vehicle speed sensor does play a part, it is the sensor for the rear wheels. I would replace that and then check the front sensors again as well. I would venture to guess it is the wheel hubs or bad wiring. IMO

 

try pulling the wheels and cleaning the ABS sensors (they are magnets) and they will pick up ANY metal that comes close to them (brake shavings ect)
