Default Body Mount Clunk/Pop

Has anyone had this problem. I drive a 2005 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 1/2 ton. I have a pop or a clunk coming from what seems like right under my feet when I start from a dead stop or stop quickly. Sometimes I hear it when I go over bumps. It seems like the noise is coming from the the #1 body mount but I am not positive. Has anyone heard of this? I found a little info talking about installing an insulator. It is basically a little plastic washer a little thicker than a piece of paper. I just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem and found a fix. Thanks,

I had two friends who had this same problem their causes were similar, one had a broken motor mount the other had a broken transmission mount.

Default Tranny Mount clunk

Thanks for the reply. I actually just got my truck back from my mechanic. He said it is a tranfercase mount or differential mount. What did it run for your friend to get them fixed. Sounds like it is a problem I can live with and should not hurt anything. If you friends got them fixed where did they go to get it done. Dealer or private mechanic?
