i have thought about this for a while, and can't seem to make up my mind. I am torn between two models. First the 98 Sierra with the 350 Vortec. I love the style of the older sierra's and the 5.7L vortec is legendary for durability. I also really like the 2000 GMC's with the 5.3L. The newer models seem a little more refined and better milage than the larger motor. I would appriciate any feedback positive or negative towards either model. thanks

 

Well I suppose you need to ask yourself what you really want out of a truck. Both rigs are great. You can find late 90's models all day long for reasonable prices.
Both rigs are supported heavily in the after market world, so getting stuff will be easy. Maybe go pick up a nice magazine of trucks that have already been modified, and narrow down the mods that seem most appealing to you.
