Chevy Lift

Chevy Lift
Hi, I recently purchased a Chevy Silverado and I would like to lift it just a little. I would like to get about 2-2.4" of lift and I would like to do it fairly inexpensively if I can. Would I be better off doing torsion bars and blocks or a body lift?
And if it matters its a 2003 Chevy Silverado Work Truck, 4.8L, auto, 4x4, x-cab.
Thanks for the help!

A body life may be cheaper otherwise you will need torsion bar keys and probably new shocks since the old ones may not be extend enough for a 2-2.4 ich lift. For the rear you can do a 2 inch block or an add a leaf (AAL). The AAL will make the truck stiffer in the rear and may also require new shocks. The block increases the possibility of axle wrap on hard excelleration. If you have a shop do the lift it could cost in the $2000 or more range for the bar keys, shocks and any other parts used. When I had mine done on my 04 Z71 they replaced the upper control arms, beefed up the pitman arm and added spacers to the sway bar frame clamps as well as 4 new shocks and AAL.
