Dash Light for Dimmer?

Default Dash Light for Dimmer?
Since new, my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD does not havea light which illuminates the Dimmer Controls on the dash. All other controls are illuminated so it seem strange that this one is not. Is this normal or do I have a burned out or missing lamp?

If it is burned out, how hard is it to replace?

I've not noticed if the dimmer is lit or not..but I don't think they are
