Dead Catalytic Converter Means Exhaust Upgrade ?
The catalytic converter on my 2003 LS Reg Cab 5.3 just died. Im in California and am having a hard (impossible) time finding an aftermarket CC online. So, while I'm looking, would anyone recommend that I replace my exhaust system at the same time if I'd like to get more MPG. The engine has 96,000 miles and it runs great. I wouldn't mind spending an extra $500 +/- for a measurable increase. What do you think ?

MagnaFlow has OBDII Cats w/Y Pipe; call them and ask for Jim. I run them and passed smog in under 4 mins. I bought them from Sam at MagnaFlow Online for $682 delivered. Bought new O2 Sensors as well.
No worries m8, there is hope at MagnaFlow
