egr valve or egr solenoid problem
hi need a little help my truck is starting to act up i have 95 gmc sierra 350 tbi. when i start the truck in the mornings revs up to 1000rpm and stays that way even when its warmed up but when i put it in gear it drops down to 8 or 700 rpm s normal i think but when i take off slowly or if im driving in high speeds and let of the gas just a little it feels like it not getting enough gas or like if its missing or hesitates , but if i give it some gas it drives fine so i disconnected the hose going from the egr solenoid to the throttle body and the hesitation, missing or whatever went away except for the idling high and of course the check engine light comes and goes so not sure if its the egr valve or solenoid. any ideas i would really appreciate it, thank you
On the high idling check for vacuum leaks . Throttle body gasket .
Maybe the tps/ throttle position switch located on passenger side of throttle body. Or a bad coolant temp sensor located beside the thermostat housing.
Need to scan for codes.
