Default Engine Swap

My truck is a 1993 Z71 and it has has a stock 350 in it now but I am getting ready to put a 350HP 350 Chevy crate motor in. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I will have problems with the original fuel injection system. Also if there will be any computer issues. If anyone knows what cfm the original system is. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

You may want to ask an auto technician if you need to reset the truck computer to compensate for any needed fuel mixture changes, particularly if the new engine has a much higher compression ratio. You may ask the engine manufacturer also, they should know what changes need to be made from the stock engine settings.

I'm not sure what the original cfm of the injection/throttle body is but Holley makes an aftermarket injector system that is 670 cfm's which might work good with a higher performance engine. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0299&langId=-1

Make sure the new engine doesn't have the Vortec heads, or you may need different intake and exhaust manifolds.

Sounds like a nice upgrade for your truck! I think the original horsepower was around 210, right?
