New Silverado not the Classic. Ordering for 2007 is over now and I plan to order a 2008 sometime in September anyway.

I need/have to have - dark green. Dark green is not offered in retail brochure. Not available.

Yet it is available to Fleet Sales. Woodland Green 9V5. Dark green, whatever the name or paint number is offered to utilities/municipalities/fleets. I am none of these. We all see these new bright yellow trucks, bright orange trucks, bright red trucks, as well as the dark green trucks out there - new and not repainted - direct from factory.

Anyone know how to get around this and order a dark green Silverado? 2008

Anyone out there ever have any experience with fleet sales?

 

Oh, and no, I am not going to paint a perfectly good new truck.

i suggest you get in real good with a dealer or salesman.

 

If its not offered,its not offered...dealers CAN special order a color,but they have to purchase a minimum number of them

2. Ford F150 still has dark green and I may have to break my track record and purchase a Ford F150. Sadly, though.

 

why is the dark green so important if i may ask? youll be sadly dissappointed with a ford once you start replacing parts when you drive it off the lot

 

The colors offered for the new Silverado/Sierra, are, in my opinion, aweful. OK. Not aweful. Just a very limited choice. I don't like silver and they offer 3 shades of silver. I do like black and I have owned a new black truck but it show the dirt too much. White show rust quickly. I live in the rust belt. The blue offered is aweful. Sorry for those who have a blue truck.

In Fleet Sales, they offer many more colors. But one has to have a FIN number to purchase thru the fleet plan, and, of course, own a fleet.

Ford offers dark green and it offers it in two tone which is very distinctive.

I do have my GM points and I really would like to use them up on this new truck coming soon for me. But dollar for dollar, if Ford offers rebates, and the cost is the same, and Ford offers green, then I will get a Ford.

 

might be the way to go. i cant believe gm is limiting its color options these days.
