I have a 2007 GMC sierra "new body" and would like to add a keyless remote. I purchased the truck used and it did not come with the remote. How can I find out if my truck it equipped for remote keyless and can I purchase and program myself? Thanks for any feedback.

 

Best bet is to call the dealer with ur vin# and they can tell u if it came with power keyless remote. U can order one from them but it's about $150 I know because I was looking at getting an extra one for my 95 suburban. There is a FCC ID # on the back of remotes if u can find out that number u can try and find one on eBay. If not and ur truck does have power locks ur best bet is to get an aftermarket auto start they pretty much all have lock/unlock just don't get a cheap one
