hard wire rador detector 09 chevy

looking for ways to hard wire my detector so it comes on when i start the truck. any ideas? [/align]

 

Splice it in with the power to the radio. That would probably be the easiest. Or you can grab power from the fuse box if you can find an empty spot that is only hot when the ignition is on do you have a sunroof, or rear defrost, something like that? If you don't, there is still spaces in the fuse box for them, and they will be hot when the ignition is on.

 

looked at it today and i found NO key controlled power in the fuse panel to tap off of.
