Default Has Anyone EVER Had This Problem!?!

Ok, I have never heard of this happening before, so i was wondering if somebody can help me. So, out of nowhere, my ignition switch wouldnt go to start. It would trun to all the way to the "ON" position but wont do the extra trun to START. I tried shifting it to N and back to park, giggling it, moving the steering wheel. all kinds of stuff. what else could it be? My only choice to get home was to set it in the "ON" position and had my friend(cause i wasnt about to do it) get under it with a screw driver and start it from the starter and it started right up. Any ideas?

Something broken in the ignition assembly lockout would be my guess. Probably have to replace it, or open it and remove the lockout. More risky to do that (might foget and try to start with truck running), but would get you home without the screwdriver.
