Default Help!!! Accessory power outlet not working!

I was using a portable 12 volttire inflator to put air in tire. After about 5-10 minutes tire inlator stopped working. I did not have engine running while powering inflator. The inflator will work in cig lighter. Checked the aux power fuse and it was ok.Arethere any other fuses in connection with the accessory power outlet? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

What year? Maybe an inline fuse. A pump draws a lot of power and makes a lot of heat along the power cable; you may want to take the socket out and check for damage.

the aux power outlet is different from the lighter fuse.

look in the same fusebox underhood...LIGHTER fuse is closer to your belly than the AUX power fuse

...either a fuse labeled LIGHTER or it might be fused with the radio or the dash lights. Best bet is to check any fuse that deals with the interior electronics and lighting. Last truck I had was tied into the radio.

Which outlet is it? Front console under radio or rear at back seat?

the best and easiest and fastest thing to to is to just test light all the fuses both under dash and under hood with a test light just hook it up to ground and then probe both sides make sure that the things you are testing are on if they need to be such as the head lights and turn signals that kinda stuff then go to the plug and trace back from there. you could also get a wiring diagram and see if there is another fuse along the way im assuming there is becasuse i dont think that the aux fuse will just run your aux power outlet it will run a bunch of stuff.
