RE: idk what to do my trany is sliping
GENERAL QUESTION: Mine was taking too long to shift between 3rd and 4th. So while under power it felt like a slip, but when under hard acceleration it shifted fine. On mine I think this has to do with my programming. It is set up to pull like a monster at low rpms and then lean out a little and advance the timing under hard acceleration and higher rpms.
I think by not having to press the pedal as hard to get her to go the truck "loosens up the shifting" thinking its under less load than it really is, like when you just cruzin along. I believe this is true because the shifting pressure and timing is based off of load and throttle position.
So the point Im getting at is if I programmed the truck to shift quicker and harder (slightly not like a ton more) it should be ok right? Also, how does programming the truck to shift compare to having a shift kit? You can adjust line pressures and quicker shifts with the programmer for every gear. Is this kinda the same result as a shift kit?
Quicker shifts and firmer shifts are better because there is less "slip" between gears, right?

Nevermind on my question. I got the long shift problem resolved by playing with the shift times. But now I have the clunking back when I start from a stop. I guess its time to grease the yoke again.

If you want a beter shift you'll want to go with a shift kit and Corvette servo 12 bucks on Ebay. If you want a new one check these out I plan on getting one when I get home
