Default k&n oiled, descreened maf

i know this subject has been covered a lot but i never found the exact answer i was looking for. i am installing a new k&n air filter, (just replacing the stock one, not cone) and have read a few things about the oiled ones not mixing well with a descreened maf sensor. i still have my screen in place but what i am wondering if i descreen my maf sensor if it will get dirty or oily fast from that filter? thanks

Wipe you filter down real good so there is no excess oil, and clean the MAF every time you clean the air filter (if not more often than that). You should be fine.

agreed. if you keep your filter reasonably coated, and i meanNO Excess oil, after the cleaning then you shouldnt have much problems.... it doesnt hurt to clean your MAF (WITH THE RIGHT CLEANER) since youve got everything out in the open already!
there should be no problems..... just when your cleaning your filter clean your MAF enuff said!
