Why not just splice into the power wires to the high beams?

What type of lights are you planning on splicing into the high beams? If they are over 100 watts, you may not want to do this. Over time it could cause your light switch to burn out as it is not designed for that much wattage. Your best bet is to wire them to a separate switch. I did that once and also had it tied into a switch, over the course of 6 months it destroyed the switch with heat (partially because I used a switch not rated for the lights) and it caused my headlight switch to burn up.

He just wants driving lights so Im thinkin they shouldn't draw that much power. There is some seperate fuse blocks you can use on the circuit board under the hood.

Well then a 50 amp toggle switch should do you just fine.
