Loud pop when turning wheel in 4 wheel drive

Loud pop when turning wheel in 4 wheel drive
My 02 chevy silverado 1500 makes a loud pop when i turn the wheel when engaged in 4 wheel drive. it is not a continous popping. It occurs once everytime i turn the wheel. The truck is lifted and has 35in all terrains. I know that has an effect on pretty much everything. Any suggestions?
