well to answer your question, you can still run your factory gear ratio in it......but if you are wanting to run tires any bigger than 33' i would recommend doing a heavy duty clutch, as having a 5 spd manual is really going to work a stock clutch, especially with lots of power and a stock clutch. as for the housing on the ten bolt, they are all interchangeable with the 5.3 and so on, but i would STRONGLY suggest you have it done somewhere. back to the gears, i would suggest with that big of a tire, something like 3.73s, because of tire size and all. should be a nice setup with those.
