Got a good bit done today well one thing but seems like a lot. It was the new frame cross-member i got it all cut and welded in the way i wanted it and its definitely stronger than what was there.

Now i want to do the exhaust before i put the bed back on then throw the bed on and run it for a little bit to try and work some bugs out of it. Then stop running it to throw some paint on it and be done with it.

There was a cross member there to begin with from factory but when i bought the truck it looked like this

So i cut it all out and replaced it with this.

So im pretty sure mine will be better than what was there. I would have just replaced it with a factory cross-member if i could have found one.
I could not find any places that made them like oe replacements and its hard to find a decent one in a junk yard here in SW PA

Got some more done. The bed is on, i was going to do the exhaust first before i put the bed on and ill prob regret it now but i dont have the stuff for the exhaust yet and i think there will be plenty of room to work under it.
But the bed is on and all bolted down other than a few bolts on the bed sides but it seems to hold really well.
The bed is not the greatest looking but sure is a heck of alot better than the last one, not much rust at all and all the cross-members are on the bottom of the bed floor.

I know the body line is off on the passenger side, its because of the cab mount in the rear but its not causing any problems so as of now its going to stay like that.

Thanks man, i dont have much more to do before she will be road legal.
I need to do my exhaust and get new bulbs for the tail lights then clean up a few lil things and get it inspected and should be good to go.
Im going to drive it for a few months or so before i paint it just to see if there is something i overlooked. but i still have a half gallon of the gray that was on the truck when i bought it i think i may just strip it down and thin down the paint enough to be able to spray it.
Although i have to say i think it would look good gloss black now that i see that bed on it but it would show all the imperfections it has lol.

Picked up a new radio today and got it in. Its a pioneer, it was on sale at wal-mart for 60 bucks and then i got the extended warranty ended up being $69.96 total. It looks so much nicer and i even think it sounds better (jvc rear plug did not stay in very well and if it was turned up somewhat loud the speakers would crack because of it losing and regaining connection) But with this it sounds pretty awesome the stereo came with 4 speakers but i just put them away for a future project and im still just running my two 10in kenwoods. But the best part of all, now i can play music off my phone or an ipod or whatever else so im stoked, i had my phone hooked to it today and it sounds pretty good for what it is.
Sorry about the pics there not the greatest but they still show the difference.
