Thanks guys, ya im having fun haha but its about time to call this one done.
I unmasked it all today and put the handles back on and lights back in so its done pretty much.
I got my plates for it the other day just need to get it inspected. Also i have to put turnouts on the exhaust so it will exit the body line.

Been a while since i posted.
I finished up the exhaust, but didnt do what i originally planned. I dropped to 2 1/2in pipe and went the whole way back and out the side in front of the bumper. Its not what i wanted to do but it was simple.
Also put a new starter on it since the old one was about shot and a choke cable along with a little fine tuning. It seems to be running pretty good havent had much road time on it yet but have been doing as much as i can with it lately.

Have been driving the thing a little more lately since the exhaust is all done and its inspected, But anyway went to the truck pulls at a local fair tonight, (I didnt pull just went to watch) and we took the long way home which is highway most of the way.
Needless to say im really happy with it for being a beater, we were cruising at 60-65 most of the way home only pushing 2100rpm in 4th which i dont think is to bad. Im still not real sure on mileage but cruising at 60-65 not being in the 4brl i would hope to be getting around 10-12mpg im not sure if thats setting my hopes to high but heck i would be happy to get 10

Wow man you really are seeing this project through. I am on a few forums and there are more projects that dwindle than actually get to completion. Good for you, the truck has come a long way - you should be proud of it!!!!

I dont want to put a lot more into it and i think i might end up taking it all apart down the road when i start another project. Im not saying im just going to walk out and start stealing parts off of it but if i break something major im going to take what i want sell a few things and mayb just scrap what bad parts there are.
I know i said before i would post more pictures and sorry i havent got around to it lately been sorta busy and im starting school again tomorrow, so when i get a little extra time ill snap some pics mayb if were out wheeling or something.

Nice pictures
I was wondering why the gap between the cab and the box gets narrower towards the bottom.
That usually uncharacteristic to older trucks. Usually it's wider at the bottom do to the frame or cab mounts failing . Yours is the opposite
In your pictures of the new paint job, the gap is good. body lines are a little off, but the gap seems OK
