hey guys i am new to the site just not new to chevy/gmc. i have an 06 2500 4x4 diesel and am getting ready to have to change out my 2ND! steering box. the first one was at 32000 and was under warranty, now with 54000 on the clock this one is almost shot also. anyone else? shoould i go to a 1 ton gear if it will fit? the motor is awesome and i love the truck just dont want to keep goin through these things. thanks in advance

 

Uhhhhhhhhhhh... I really don't know. I've never heard of these going out. Somebody might know though...

Isn't the steering box covered under the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty?? otherwise you should have the 3 yr 60,000 right?
