My 99 GMC V8 started knocking (Like lifters) when i first start. Oil preasure is not as high as it was. Oil level and quality is good. Does this sound like the oil pump? What would it cost to replace. Shoul I avoid driving till repaired?

tricky...COULD BE carbon build up on top of the pistons...fairly common on 99's
