All i keep hearing is shorty headers do not help or engines over the stock headers and you have to put longtube in?

 

shorty headers do help, but not at lowend, only mid and topend.

Headers help period whether shorty or long tube. I don't know if our stock headers are cast iron but I know most vehicles are and they collect a lot of heat. That is one of the big deals with headers. They don't trap NEARLY as much heat as factory iron manifolds, thus lowering engine bay temperatures.

 

Get some PaceSetter Longtubes...

 

The pacesetters will get you more lowend, but from what I have heard they do not last long. If you can find a better brand then I would look into long tube.

 

The Ceramic Coated ones are the ones I suggest.... Stay away from the painted ones, they rust out quickly...

 

I dont know it is just hard to decided. Maybe i will just get some shorties or nothing. What did you guys think of the sites i gave.

 

I just have Shorties and unbolted and removed exhaust... Less backpressure than longtubes and exhaust... For like $150.00...
