I've heard people say their 33's rub. Mine don't. I have completely stock suspension and rims, but have never had a tire rub.

Are you on 33's or 285's?

The size is 285/75 R16 which is 32.8x11.2.

I'm not sure what exactly you are asking. 285 is the width.

Right the width contributes to weather it touches or not. think of it this way, if you have a really tall skinny tire that clears and you add width then it may not.
So basically you did what I did, I had 33x12.50 R15 and they just baredly touched. (only really touched when I was turning and braking) I went down to the 32x11.50 R15's so they didn't rub.

I hope you kind of understand what I am trying to say. It has always been hard for me to articulate what I want to say over emails and chatting. I guess it would help if I spoke english. Speaking Redneck doesn't help me say anything correctly. So in the end I have to stop and re-read all of my work and make sure it reads correctly. I usually have someone else read it before I send it. I also live off of spell check and it won't interface with this forum, so I cannot spell check on here.

So if anyone has gotten mad over something I have said or how I have said it, I am sorry and please don't take it to heart! I am not mad at anyone on here, there is no reason to get mad at some keys on a keyboard, a visual display unit, or the pointing device in your hand. In the end, we all get mad in the same shoes we get glad in, or you can change your shoes because I don't really give a ****!! Sorry!

I understand what you are saying. A 33X12.50 would definitely not fit. Actually, a 33X11.50 probably wouldn't fit either (do they even make a 33x11.50?). I'm pretty sure the size I have is the largest possible size without rubbing. I think any taller, or wider would rub.

Thats a pretty good deal man. I recently bought a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado z71 ext cab all loaded for 13,500. And the only thing done to it was 285's bfgoodrich which isnt much. The truck was almost in mint condition. But that sounds like a good deal coming with lift and all. Id jump on it.

Yes I agree with that except if you turn the bars or trim the fenders you can get the 33's to fit.
