Rear end clunk
Hello everyone, im looking for some help with an annoying clunk i have in the rear end of my 2006 Silverado 1500 4x4. It happens when coming to a stop and then again when i begin to accelerate forward. It does it even louder when one tire goes over a bump or the rear axle is not level. Now this is not the same clunk that gm classifies as a driveline clunk and says is normal. The truck does that also but this is quite different and only started to do this within the last 20000 kms or so. I have had it in the dealer twice for this but they cant hear or feel the clunk. Anyone know what might be causing this so i know what to tell the dealer to look for?
There's a TSB for rear leaf spring Clunk, you may want to see if this is what you are hearing.
