Repeat Transmission troubles after rebuild. Really?
Transmission issues 1996 c/k 1500
I did a FAQ search and did not find the information I needed.
1996 Chevy c/k 1500, auto, v8, 350, lwb, 2wd, highway use and a lot of boat tow
In a nutshell, at one hundred fifty thousand miles a year ago my transmission started slipping in reverse, progressed to having to rev the engine in order to get it to catch in reverse and then ultimately lost all reverse. I bit the bullet and spent maybe fourteen hundred to have it rebuilt. It did well for maybe a year. Now, the exact same problem AGAIN. I have noticed it does not have a problem when first started. Once it is warmed, it slips. The transmission shop says it is out of warranty and they are not real sure what may be going on there.
I am very frustrated here. Why am I having this problem again and what should I do????
Thanks for all comments

i may be a little late to reply but i thaught i would anyway
it sounds like the bands inside the transmission are bad again
i wouldnt go back to them if they wanna play the game of well the warrenty is out and we dont know what is wrong a good transshop will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong
so i would suggest take it to a well known trans shop

Is it really out opf warranty? Do you still have your Reciepts from the rebuild? If it is still under warranty make them rebuild it. If you do not have the reciepts and go to the shop and ask... then of course they will say it is out of warranty. They do not want to rebuild a tranny at tehir own expense. But it does sound like the bands are gone.
