Default Running lights

I see alot of 03-04 Silverados driving around withdr sideday time driving light burned out. My buddy said it is the socket not the bulb, so I haven't bought a bulb yet. Do alot of you guys have this prob? If I buy a new socket from GM won't it do the same thing?

Yes, this is often the problem ... it seems as if most Chevy trucks I see have one DRL with a bad socket [:'(]

I've noticed this too... See a lot of them driving around with one out. fortunately not a problem on my '02 Sierra.

Good luck on getting that taken care of.

I fixed it. with some dielectric grease, didn't repale the bulb or socket. My plate lights were burned out, repalced those with led's. They still didn't come on, put some of that grease in there too, now they work great!
