04blkchevy...did you sand yours, wet sand primer and paint with some rattle can or go about it a dif. way?

I popped mine out like most others and just went at it with killz primer then used plastic coat based spray paints to give it a real strong look/finish. Then to really finish it off I just clear coated it to give it abit more shine and strength.

I used etching primer for my mirrors and emblem. Then blue trim paint and a glossy clear coat. I still need to clear it again but even stone chips aren't getting down to the plastic so its pretty durable.

Krylon makes a spray paint for plastics called Fusion. Very nice stuff for about $5 a can. Chemically bonds to plastic and is very durable.

Default Emblem

Thanks for the Tip Guys. I just priced out new Bowe Tie at GM in St Albert, Alberta CA and they wanted $112 plus tax. So I took mine off and painted it with Krylon 18 Kt Gold and 3 coats of clear coat and it looks great..Thanks again!
