Silverado Rust Repair
Well... about 6 weeks ago I decided it was time to dig into the old 250,000 rust-bucket silverado and give her a little facelift.....
Here is my truck when I bought it with 100,000 in 2005.
150,000 miles later she had acquired a little rust....
Decided to cut all of that out and replace it with new metal....
stripped all of the old liner out of the bed...
(Not an easy task)
Took off the moldings, added flares, and prepped the rockers for bedliner...
Bedliner on....
Bedlined Bed, bedrails, rockers of bed.....
Back together and ready for Tires.....
Still have quite a bit to do on the interior (rubber floor and new seats), but she is back together and driveable....
Future plans include dump bed, nerfs, cab-overs, potentially 2 more inches of lift, and tires.....

Very nice! looks good. I'm in the process of doing same thing to mine, just finished the passanger side rocker, now I need to do the drivers side. I originally got an estimate to fix everything a few years ago, had less rust then too, for over $3500.00, I figured what the hell I'll do it myself whatever I do is going to look better than rust.
so far I spent under $300 took a crash course in welding, mostly by watching Stacy David on TV. found out that rustoleum now makes OEM color match paints. A few more days of work and my truck will be rust free and I will have saved thousands. If you have more time than money this is the way to go.
