Default 2000 Silverado WT Broken Seat Repair

I have a 2000 Silverado with the buckets and solid center seat type that I thought had broken one of the springs and/or the "grill" used under the seat foam. I called and both the springs and the grill are no longer available from GM. I also looked in some junkyards but had no luck so here is what I did to fix it. I purchased an E16 socket for the rear bolt and the front nut is I think an E20 nut but I was unable to find one locally and ended up using a six point 15 MM socket and it worked fine. I removed the seat and found this

Two of the springs were off the grill and also the outer wire was disconnected. I unhooked the rear springs and the front attaches to the seat with tabs in the seat frame. I pushed it forward and down and it came out. The rear part where the springs mount to is a solid piece of round hardened material and the plastic end piece had worked its way off. I think that is why the spring and out outer reinforcing wire came off. I worked the wire back over the the correct spacing location and used some Gorilla tape to keep the spacing. I then tied the wire into the others and finally wound tape side to side across the entire grill and front to back to hold it in place.

The finished product, not the best looking repair but it should be functional and for a couple hours work and some tape the price was right. Much better on the back when driving.
