well this is the 2nd old truck iv owned and both of them the speedo didnt work im guesing the insides of the speedo just wears out and dont catch any more cuz the cable spins when its not in it so wat would be the best way of getting a new speedo/getting it to work

You could look into grabbing an instrument from a junkyard truck and sending in the instrument cluster for a rebuild. Then just swap clusters.
