After I have run my truck for a while, when I get back in to start it. It will just crank like it is not getting gas and then wait a few minutes and it will start right up.

I am having the same problem except mine won't start. It is a random thing where out of no where it will crank over but not start. If I spray starter fluid in here, she starts til the fluid is gone. I have had it towed to the dealer and of course there it starts. They did dianostics and pressure checks and supposedly everything is good. I replace the fuel pump relay, still doesn't work. What gives?

 

Someone else had a thread on silverados with the same thing and said it was his pcm grounding out or something.

 

I had the same problem, i had to replace my whole sending unit.

 

On a 1999 GMC Sierra... cranks over and starts for a second and dies. Replaced pump, filter, relay. Any ideas? When I disconnect battery it has started after I reconnected but then same thing again.
