I have a 2500 hd sierra and steering left or right all i hear is a loud rubbing sound like rubber on rubber or plactic . the noise is from inside the cab .any one ever hear that before..

 

yes i have there is a rubber boot that the steering shaft runs through it could be rubbing on that if the rubber is out of place.if its sounds lower that is if up high then i would have to say sir coil or trim misaligned by steering wheel
