Stock Exhaust minus Muffler

2003 Sierra 5.3
Stock exhaust system
Muffler starting to rust out

I am thinking about just removing the muffler and installing a pipe in its place. Single exit.

How would this sound? I haven't been able to find a video on youtube with the correct setup. The vids all have dual exit.

If the money was there I would just run dual exit with nice tips.

I searched but didn't find the answer I was looking for.

I have heard some like that. Its actually quite popular doin it that way. I think it sounds good.

Well, I've been on duals only so not much idea on the single ones but they don't sound bad. If it's badly rusted better replace it and later on try to get duals.
