Default Tail lights not working, with a twist!

Hey all, have an issue with my 90 K1500 that's becoming a real headache and preventing me from being able to drive after dark, which, this time of year is a serious issue.

When I press the switch for parking/driving lights, everything comes on except the tail lights and plate lights. At this point I also have NO lights at the rear of the vehicle. Get no Stop, turn, tail, or reverse functions with the switch in the on position.

With the switch in the OFF position, I get Stop and turn lights, and when put into reverse I get tail lights instead of reverse lights lighting up.

It's cold and wet outside so I haven't crawled around the truck too much, but I haven't found any blown fuses, and all my bulbs are good.

Little help here please?!

Im probably the worst person to ask about automotive electronics (seriously). What Ive always been told about electrical issues is "grounds, grounds, grounds". In this case thou, I think I would start at the switch. The lights are working in the off position but not the on position. I would start there. Good luck.

I'd change the relays first. (there is one inside the switch as well as two or three under the hood. Change the switch first and then go from there)
