Default pulling a full size broncho around like it was a toy

posi traction will cause both tires to spin you may have a on legger
in your truck
anyway this isnt that place to post a mechanical question like this
put it under the proper thread

well got off work at 5 home by 530 my buddy aparently called me at 430
he was stuck in some backwoods of our state fairgrounds
i called him and went to pull him out today
not how i wanted to spend my time after work but my truck pulled his 93 fullsize broncho like it was a toy
so home know gonna enjoy the afternoon
and start pricing parts to get my truck fixed up right

It wasn't today, but over the weekend got new upper and lower intake gaskets, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, plugs, wires, cap, cam sensor, and distributor installed in my old (now belongs to dad) 1996 Suburban. For all 96-2000 OBS Vortec owners (not sure what other years are affected), when/if you get a chance check your distributor gears. This truck's gear was so knifed that it wouldn't have been very long before it completely stripped out. There was also a lot of play in the shaft. I thought the occasional miss was the injectors, but it was the dizzy. So now dad's burban which we still use to pull our boat is in the game!

The forecast says the next 5 days is nothing but sunshine.
So I spent the better part of this morning washing and detailing my truck.
Looked awesome after I was done.
I had to go to work this evening at 6:00 PM
On my way to work I had to drive through a new construction site. DAMN !!! There was still mud and puddles in the road way. Grrrrrr

put my cb antenna on my tool box and got the 2 bolts that hold my transmission to the cross member in, i bought the truck 8 months ago and i am just now finding that they arent in there, i have heard that that isnt that rare of my trucks to be missing them from a guy that owns a transmission shop so, you might want to check em

Well it wasn't just a days work but here it is.
Took my carpet cleaner to the interior and sucked all the dirt and smell out. Turn out almost perfect.

Installed a receiver hitch to tow our boat.
Had the trans flushed which now works awesome.
Fixed the broken shift indicator spring.
Installed new front brakes and rotors.
Had a new windshield installed.
Adjusted torsion bars. Still playing with front end ride height.
Installed new tailgate hardware.
Today I plan on replacing the pitman and idler arm.

Not sure if I should remove those ugly side steps. As ugly as they are, my aging dad needs them.

She's comin along and is a pleasure to drive!

Default got alot of stuff done today felt good to do it instead of put it off

got my trans filter changed today with new fluid
no metal shavings
but when i got under there the trans bolts were finger tight
when i pulled the pan off.
so i put the new filter on new semi synthetic atf 5 quarts in there
and she shifts so much better and smoother know the old filter was blacker then a tire
also figured out why my truck still kinda idles wierd
i need to replace all my vacum lines
soon will be done
also i started to put my new brakes on only got to get teh pass side done fore it got dark
so tomorrow the driver side goes on
then bleed them then drive it.

I also have the weird idle thing going on. The guy I bought the truck from said it needs a new TB. Didnt think about vacuum lines.
