Default Well looks like body work time!

On Christmas Eve I was loading the truck with gifts and I noticed more paint coming off of the cab corner. I went to scratch it with my finger and my finger went through the metal. Now there is a 1 inch hole in the cab corner. So I guess that answers my question about whether I should replace the metal or not. I was thinking of doing the cab corners, using rust inhibitor on the "lightly blistered" areas, then getting the bottom repainted silver or something like that. I want to paint the truck from the trim, down. Any idea what this would cost? I wish I at least had the damn thing paid off or else I wouldn't mind so much!

Unfortunately I have to replace the metal first. But yeah, I have to do something to slow it down.

Alright I dunno if you would take this advice cause Im just some crazy person who lives in Hawaii and deals with ocean salt every other day but... I use a Zep product (religiously for work and at home) thats a Alumabrite and it slows down the rust ALOT plus it cleans your truck mad well though you cant let this stuff touch your glass otherwise it tends to burn/etch (especially in the sun which it can dry quick) which then youd have to get out the window buffing cerum.

(Search for Product #1063 or Product Name "Zep-A-Lume")
If you can get this shipped to your state or get this period then seriously DO it. Just mix this stuff about 50/50 at strongest otherwise do a 25/75 water mix so you dont burn your hand which I also suggest wearing gloves as this stuff will bother you but it will prep your truck for sanding or anything else you need to do to it. At most I believe its $20 a gallon which thats with shipping to me so you migh be able to get it at a store or shipped to you for the same if not maybe cheaper.
