I have a 04 5.3L Extended Cab. Since I got it about a month ago, I noticed that there's a lot of wind noise at the base of the windshield. It's not a whistle, but sounds like a window is cracked. I'm not sure if it's a bad seal, but it doesn't seem to leak when it's raining.

The insurance I got (GM certified use vehicle) doesn't cover 'wind noise'. The base of the windshield is covered by a lot of plastic on the inside and the outside. How can I tell if the seal is broken, or if it's something else?

Not sure, but does anyone else have trouble with excessive noise in the cross wind? Mine gets crazy loud

 

Hey jax, do you have one of those front of hood deflectors? I hear those make the wind hit the middle of the windshield and cause alot of noise.

 

No, she's stock at this point. Haven't even replaced the OEM stereo yet....
