1992 Oil Pan Removal HELP!
I followed all the instructions in the book except, removing the dist cap, exhaust crossover pipe and the engine mount bolts. I look at the motor and see its just resting on the mounts and it seemd like there was no need to take the bolts out of the mounts since it was not even connected to the motor. The exhaust cross over pipe didnt seen to be holding me back from lifting the motor up enough, no its not the problem. so dist cap is not going to hit anyway. I put a block of wood under the main lower pully right near the edge of the oil pan and jacked it up. the trans is still connected and points up with the motor, the STOP. i have lifted the motor up about 3 inches and the oil pan is released but wont come out, i need only 1" more lift here.... whats the trans/motor hitting on? could it be the trans crossover bar that needs to be unbolted? is it all hitting on the body and not letting me lift any further? so close but so far.. front end sitting on jackstands waiting for the job to get done. THANKS! call/text or simply reply to me on here! 252 725 7082 any calls after 11pm, leave detailed message.
