Default 2001 Dodge Cummins

I own a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with the cummins turbo deisel in it. I have a auto trans. I just installed a Edge comp box on it. When I have the box turned on setting 5, ( which is the hightest setting) and try power braking it, it spudder's just under 2,000 RPM's. After I let of the gas pedal, it also makes a noise like something is letting air out somewhere near the turbo, or atleast that side of the motor. If I shut the box off, my RPM's go over 2,000. Is there something I did wrong or that I need to do??? Could this cause problems for me??? Please let me know what You think!!!!

Default RE: 2001 Dodge Cummins

i wouldn't be worrying about it if it only happens when you're power braking....
It's most likely protecting you're engine.
