Default Header, Programmer or Module?

New member here with a question:
I have a 1996 Ford F150 with a 4.9 Liter (Yes a inline six) and I am interested in a header for it. I found place in California who custom makes them, but I was wondering if there was another copany out there who would sell one. And also is it worth the work to instal such an animal? NOTE: This inline 6 is fuel injected. So on this note would a header from an earlier year model be the same as the 96?

My next question is for the same truck: Whichof the 2, either a programmer or a module which is the better of the 2? And which brand is recommmeded?
