1997 7.3 Turbo Lag

I have a 1997 Ford F350 with a 7.3 L turbo diesel engone. Recently I have been having a lag problem like my engine is not getting enough air. Does anyone know what might be causing this??

I don't know the reason but I have a 7.3 and it has some turbo lag. Bigger exhaust and an air intake will help tremendously.
