'89 F250 front bumper removal
Hi, I am new to this forum.I recently purchased a '89 F250 4x4 7.3 IDI. I want to mount a Warn brush guard / winch mount from my '86 F250 on to the newer truck. The front bumpers and mounts are different so the only way I can see to mount the guard is to remove the front bumper from the '89 and mount the guard directly to the frame members. It appears the bumper will come off by removing just four bolts.
Easy, right?
Probably except the previous owner(s) apparently tried to remove the bumper and in the process rounded off the heads of all four bolts! The bolt heads are stamped 9.8 which leads me to believe the bolts and nuts are metric. Would that be correct? or are the bolts just super hard?
Either way I need some advice on how to extract the bolts. Or how to remove the bumper if there is more to it.
I appreciate any advice you can throw my way.
Regards.
Robert
