Should I seafoam my engine?
So in my catch-up-maintenance on my 93 f250 351, I've thought about doing an engine flush with something like seafoam or an equivilant. I had once ran seafoam through an old jaguar engine, but had previously taken that engine apart so I knew it wasnt mounded up with sludge.
By reading all over the net, I get mixed signals - some people say it cleared up the engine and any related problems, others say it threw all the sludge around, clogged up their engine and it failed. I don't know which way to go with this truck...I know by looking at the oil and air filter (both of which were a nice shade of black), that the truck wasn't well taken care of. That scares me. But on the same note, who knows what experiences the nay sayers have. I know in the jag it clear up real quick a tensioner issue I had.
What is everyones opinion on this?
