I have a 2003 F-250 with the 7.3. Periodically the windows, radio and interior lights just randomly quit working. Sometimes for just a few minutes to almost an hour then they just come back on for no reason. I have been told its a computer connecter under or in the steering column but im not sure.

Any suggenstions????????

 

A friend of mine has an '07 F 150. Same symptoms. Plus all the gauges quit at the same time. It wound up being a wiring harness in the steering column. He said it was a dealer only replacement. I think it was in the 650 to 700 hundred dollar range. A funny part of this deal was though, and I really have a hard time accepting this, when the dealer diagnosed the problem he confiscated the truck. Claimed he (the dealer) was mandated to keep the truck until the odometer was made functional. Took a week to get the harness. This was in Baltimore, MD. That part really ticked me off, and it's not even my truck.
