Default Cam in a 1987 R10

Hey!! I'm new on here. I have a Question. I have a 1987 C( R) 10 1/2 ton. Factory Fuel injected. 350 w/ a 700R4. The original motor was tired . So I built a 355, Corvette heads, holley TBI and Tbi intake. 270 Comp cam Hydro Roller. Not to big , Still cam use stock converter. headers , 3" SS exhaust super 40 Flow masters. My problem is sitting the timing. It has a chip burned for it to match the stuff thats in it. I was told to sit the timing with the Computer uplugged to Zero degress. Then Plug the computer back in and it would take over the timing. When I do this the timing is just to low. It real lazy and will Pop thru the TBI. Don't know where to set it at, To start. has any body done a cam swap? or done a motor like mine with a cam swap? Any help would be Appreciated. Thank"s!!! Tommy
