Default Gas Gauge no longer works after battery disconnect.

Hello. Have a 2000 1500 Silverado. Recently disconnected the battery terminal for about 10-15 minutes. Put it back on and now my gas gauge does not work at all. In fact, it "bottoms out" way past the full line on the gauge. In ideas? Could this be a fuse/relay issue. All other gauges work.
