service 4wdlight periodic/ hesitates switching from 2 to 4wd
Have you guys ever gotten the service 4wd light before on your trucks?
Ive got a 2000 5.3 4wd and this light is popping periodically. Sometimes my truck doesnt want to switch b/w 2 and 4wd and this was never a problem in the past. I think their is something electrical goin on here. Any ideas on what the cause might be?

This is a very common, and annoying problem. The majority of the time it is the 4WD switch itself. Also there is a bad ground underneth the driver side door, this will cause problems if in fact it is bad on your truck. I think the 4WD switch is about $100, but you should have someone put a scanner on it just to be 100% sure before you go wasting money. Hoped this helped
