Default Suburban fuel problem

I have a problem with the fuel delivery on a 98 4x4 suburban. Could not hear the pump running and no gas was getting to the EFI, so we lowered the tank and replace it. Heard it run twice and no more. Truck still won't start. I cracked the line at the engine side of the filter to see if there was presure and gas and there was and I expected that after the presure was released that the pump would run again, but it doesn't seem to be. Any ideas would be great. I've received great help from very savy people on this form before so I'm reaching out again.

thanks all,

Default RE: Suburban fuel problem

problem resolved, can you believe the new pump was bad? We replaced the filter, still nothing, then we dropped the tank and checked voltage, it's ok, removed pump and put 12v across the pump and nothing. Took it back, got another one and tested it 1st this time. Burb is running great.
Sometimes just posting makes one feel better, kinda like sharing the pain.

thx,
nowhereman out
