I inherited a 1973 GMC C1500 from my father who got it from his father. The truck and a pocket knife are all I have of my Grand dad. I would like to make it usable as a daily driver but I do not have any idea where to start. So, to begin with I am in the process of having the engine rebuilt and the original brakes brought back into working order. Beyond that there is a lot of rust to be dealt with and while I do have a cheap MIG welder my level of confidence is low as to the work I could produce. I will have to do as much as I can, myself, because I have little money to put into it. I have watched a ton of Youtube videos and I am aware of LMC and Brothers truck parts. My main question is are there other resources for parts and/or info to help me with my pursuit?

Question to anyone with knowledge of fuel pumps. Will the fuel pump from an 02 Chevy with a4.8 work in a gmc with a 5.7 as long as i swap just the actual pump inside b the assembly,? Both are full size trucks
